Adam uses charcoal and graphite to explore form, weight, and gesture. Through this process, the architecture of the body unravels to reveal the energetic systems the lay beneath.
Working mostly from live models, Adam's drawings are both an entity unto themselves as well as a springboard for larger painted works. He describes them as "Explorations in the interplay between Light and Dark, and the vast spaces in between.
