The other day I was getting dressed and suddenly felt more awake than I had felt in awhile. There was a distinct clarity to the world around me; a vividness and crispness. The air was crisp like it is after you get out of a cold shower.
I felt alive and inspired.
This painting was started from life and then sat on my shelf for about a year. I came to the studio and finished this piece from memory - trying to complete it from the place of that experience I had earlier in the day.
